Fellows' Retreat

MICMoR's Graduate Program comprises annual retreats (up to 2-3 days), compulsory for all MICMoR Fellows, where specific questions of environmental science methodology, research ethics, constructive criticism in large collaborative groups, political and public discourse etc. will be discussed and worked on.

For the first part of these retreats, a guest speaker (e.g. a MICMoR Scientist, the MICMoR Coordinator, an external expert) can be invited. As an exercise in self-governance and team building, the second part is reserved for discussions and workshops led by the Fellows themselves, without the presence of mentors or senior scientists. The Fellows will submit a summary report on the activities and results of that day to the Steering Committee.
